Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Engineer with strong expertise in industrial automation solutions. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and delivering technical solutions tailored to client requirements across manufacturing and process industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial automation across assigned territory/industry verticals.
Promote and sell automation products and solutions such as:
- PLC, SCADA, HMI systems
- VFDs & motion control systems
- Industrial sensors & instrumentation
- Control panels & system integration solutions
- Engage with OEMs, system integrators, EPC contractors, and end-user industries.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions with customers.
- Understand client requirements and develop customized automation solutions.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, cost estimations, and quotations.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales in line with company targets.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams for successful execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Achieve sales targets and maintain accurate CRM reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in industrial automation sales.
- Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, DCS, and industrial networking.
- Experience handling B2B industrial clients.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with brands like Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, ABB, or Mitsubishi Electric.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing solutions.
- Experience in sectors such as automotive, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, power, or steel.
