We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PLC Application Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems. This role involves the design, development, and implementation of PLC applications to optimize industrial processes and ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. PLC Programming and Development

    • Design and develop PLC programs to control and automate industrial machinery and systems.
    • Modify and enhance existing PLC programs to improve efficiency and reliability.

  2. System Integration

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with other industrial control systems and software.
    • Ensure seamless communication between PLCs and other networked devices.

  3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

    • Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC hardware and software.
    • Provide ongoing maintenance and support to ensure optimal performance of PLC systems.

  4. Testing and Validation

    • Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of PLC systems to ensure they meet design specifications and operational requirements.
    • Document test results and implement necessary adjustments.

  5. Technical Support and Training

    • Offer technical support to clients and internal teams regarding PLC operations and troubleshooting.
    • Conduct training sessions for operators and technicians on the use and maintenance of PLC systems.

  6. Project Management

    • Manage multiple PLC projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary materials and components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or related field. PGDIA
  • Proven experience in programming and troubleshooting PLC systems, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
